Spurs fans are some of the most positive, and Wemby is proud

San Antonio Spurs fans know how to show their love — and keep it clean — according to an analysis of fans’ online comments.

The ranking of comment negativity and vulgarity by sports betting site Vegas Insider even caught the eye of fan-favorite phenom Victor Wembanyama.

“When I’m in a positive comment competition and my opponent is a Spurs fan,” the 7-foot-3 Spurs center wrote on X Friday evening, referencing the ranking.

Vegas Insider compiled the rankings by scouring Reddit comments for each of the NBA fan bases, checking for swear words and categorizing comments as positive, negative or neutral.

“Whether your team is gunning for a championship or suffering through a rebuild, NBA fans bring plenty of passion to the conversation,” sports betting expert Gautham Marthandan wrote with the rankings. “But when the emotions run high, which fan bases are the most likely to let the F-bombs (and more) fly?”

What it found: Spurs fans came in dead last for negativity, third place for positivity and 28th out of 30 for vulgarity.

“S**t” was the most common swear word among fans, accounting for over 36% of comments.
